A well-chosen 4×4 rental opens up Uganda’s whole safari circuit. Here’s where our vehicles take you most often, and what to expect on each route.
Lake Mburo National Park
The closest park to Kampala and Entebbe, and an easy introduction to self-drive safari. Good roads make it reachable in almost any vehicle in our fleet.
Queen Elizabeth National Park
Game drives and the Kazinga Channel boat cruise, on generally well-maintained park roads. A Land Cruiser Prado is a comfortable, capable choice here.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
The main gateway for gorilla trekking. Steep, narrow roads make a 4×4 essential here, not optional – we strongly recommend the Land Cruiser Prado or full-size Land Cruiser for this route.
Murchison Falls National Park
Uganda’s largest park, reached via a longer drive from Kampala, with a mix of paved and gravel routes. A Land Cruiser Prado handles this comfortably.
Kidepo Valley National Park
Uganda’s most remote major park. A full-size Land Cruiser and, for most visitors, a driver-guide are strongly recommended given the distance and terrain.
Jinja and the Source of the Nile
A popular, easy add-on for white-water rafting and Nile cruises, comfortably reached in a smaller vehicle like our RAV4.
